James Vick Getting Home State Fight At UFC 211
A lightweight division attraction has been added to this May’s UFC 211 card as James Vick will be getting a home state fight against Marco Polo Reyes.
Vick (10-1-0) has won six of seven fights under the UFC banner and he will also be competing for the second time this year. Those six wins in the UFC for Vick came over Ramsey Nijem, Valmir Lazaro, Nick Hein, Jake Matthews, Glaico Franca and Abel Trujillo. The lone loss that Vick has suffered as a professional MMA fighter came to Beneil Dariush by knockout at UFC 199.
Reyes (7-3-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, with those wins coming over Cesar Arzamendia, Dong Hyun Kim and Jason Novelli. Reyes has only seen one of his ten pro MMA fights go the distance, that fight came against Jason Novelli at UFC Fight Night 98. Reyes will be entering the fight on the strength of a four fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years time.
UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event.
