James Vick Faces Paul Felder At UFC Fight Night Phoenix
A lightweight division competition has been added to UFC Fight Night Phoenix according to ESPN as #11 James Vick is going to be in action against #15 Paul Felder.
The bout was originally set for the UFC 233, but was then changed to its new home after the card was removed from its January date.
Vick (13-2-0) is coming off of his first UFC main event appearance, which was a first round knockout loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Vick has won nine of eleven fights under the UFC banner, but has also suffered both professional MMA defeats in the promotion. Vick has suffered just two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Felder (15-4-0) is returning to the lightweight division after a one fight stint at welterweight, where he suffered a split decision loss to Mike Perry at UFC 226. Felder has also suffered all of his professional MMA defeats in the UFC, with three of them coming by way of decision. Felder hasn’t picked up a win in almost one years time, with that last victory coming in December of 2017.
UFC Fight Night Phoenix takes place on Sunday, February 17 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
