Jake Paul Donates $5,000 To UFC’s Sarah Alpar’s GoFundMe Page
YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul has donated $5,000 to UFC women’s flyweight Sarah Alpar’s GoFundMe Page ahead of her bout with Erin Blanchfield at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event in September.
Alpar made a video post to her Instagram account, asking people for their help with some of the financial stresses she is going through as an up-and-coming mixed martial artist. She said the donations would help her pay for training fees, travel expenses, and food amongst other things while she tries to juggle 65-hour weeks of preparing for her fight with Blanchfield, going to school, and working still.
“What this does, is it helps me to travel, take care of gym fees, to be able to afford food, anything,” Alpar said (h/t MMANews). “You guys, I’m ready, I’m working, I’m going to school, I’m training, I’m putting in at least over 65 hours a week in these things, and I want to make this happen. I want to go so far in the UFC and I cannot do it without you. If you want to donate even $5, $10, anything is so helpful in order for me to be able to focus on training and to be able to win my next fight. I want to thank everybody again for the donations that have already been put in. I would like to make a goal of $1000 by July 1. Let’s make this happen, you guys. I need your help, I need your help.”
Well, Paul eventually saw Alpar’s posting and made a generous $5,000 donation to her GoFundMe page, revealing the news in a tweet where he stated the following.
“SMH… Imagine a rookie in the NBA had to start a GoFundMe to play…
I let Sarah @TOOSWEET_Alpar know she has my support and contribution
It’s my honor and privilege to help fellow fighters in anyway I can”

Paul has been a constant critic of UFC President Dana White and the way he pays the fighters under contract with the promotion. Even legends like former two-division UFC champion Randy Couture have come out and spoke about the impact Paul vocalizing his issues with the current state of fighter pay has had. The 24-year old social media star will continue his boxing career when he faces former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, on August 28.
