Jack Swagger Says A Bellator MMA Debut Is Happening This Year
Former WWE star Jake Hager, previously known as Jack Swagger, signed a multi-fight contract earlier this year with Bellator MMA.
Even though there are just four months left in the year, a confident Hager says a Bellator MMA debut will happen in 2018.
“Yeah, I think I absolutely will fight in 2018,” Hager said to Submission Radio. “It’s too late now to fight twice in 2018. I got real busy with professional wrestling with ‘Lucha Underground’ back at the beginning of the year. Bellator’s been great to work with. They allowed me to do that and continue making a name for myself outside the (cage), which just goes for miles and miles for someone that I want to work with. You know, it really means a lot when they make it easy, and they make you feel like you’re wanted there.”
Hager will not only be making his Bellator MMA debut in the fight, but will also be making a professional MMA debut as well.
The pro wrestler turned MMA fighter says that he has already been in camp for the forthcoming pro MMA debut.
“In my mind, I’m going to fight at the end of 2018,” Hager said. “I’m going to make a statement and then in a couple of months I’m going to fight again since I’m already in the shape, I’ve already got the camp going.”
There has been no comment from anybody in Bellator MMA as to when Hager will make his promotional debut.
