Jack Marshman Pulled From UFC Fight Night London
A welterweight division encounter between Jack Marshman and Brad Scott has been pulled from tomorrow’s UFC Fight Night London card.
MMA Junkie is reporting that the reason the bout was called off was due to Marshman being to overweight for the first, which would’ve marked his UFC Welterweight Division debut.
Graham Boylan is Marshman’s manager and he says that his fighter is going to learn from the whole experience.
“As with all athletes, the weight cut is always something that can go wrong, no matter how experienced you are in this game,” Boylan told MMA Junkie. “Hopefully we can get this fight rescheduled ASAP. (Marshman) is not the first and won’t be the last – these things happen. All we can do is move on and learn from it. Jack would like to send his apologies to Brad and fans.”
Boylan says that Marshman wants the fight to be rescheduled, but it is unknown at this time if that is the move the UFC will make.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Volkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on UFC Fight Pass.
