Injuries Cause Changes To UFC Fight Night 104 Card
A pair of injuries have caused changes to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 104 card, Abel Trujillo will now be facing James Vick on the card after both of their original opponents, Johnny Case and Evan Dunham, have been pulled from the card due to injury.
Trujillo (15-6-0-1NC) enters the fight on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Gleison Tibau, Tony Sims and Jordan Rinaldi. Trujillo once challenged for the Extreme Beatdowns Lightweight Title, but lost that shot to Scott Cleve in 2011. Trujillo has only seen one of his UFC fights go to a decision in three years time, that fight was a victory over Jordan Rinaldi at UFC Fight Night 88.
Vick (9-1-0) has won five of six fights under the UFC banner, with notable victories coming over Ramsey Nijem, Nick Hein and Jake Matthews. Vick started off his professional MMA career with a nine fight undefeated streak, a streak that had lasted over five years. Vick was a cast member of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15, he lost to eventual winner Michael Chiesa is the finals.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung headlining.
