Ian McCall Hoping Third Times A Charm, Booked For Fight
Ian McCall has had a string of bad luck lately when it comes to fights he was supposed to have with recent bouts against Justin Scoggins and Ray Borg both cancelled because both fighters had to pull out of their respective fights.
However, McCall has gotten a third proposed fight this year and it will be taking place in Ireland at UFC Fight Night 99, his opponent will be Neil Seery.
McCall will be competing for the first time in nearly two years, which is due to various injuries that have plagued him and two opponents dropping out of fights in the last minute. McCall did partake in the tournament to crown the first ever UFC Flyweight Champion, losing to current champion Demetrious Johnson in the opening round.
Seery has won one of his last three in the UFC, with that victory coming over Jon Delos Reyes at UFC Fight Night 76. Seery has fought five of his six bouts in the UFC from locations outside of North America and this will be his third UFC bout in Ireland.
McCall, on the other hand, will be returning to Ireland for the first time since his defeated Brad Pickett by decision at UFC Fight Night 46 in 2014.
UFC Fight Night 99 will be taking place on Saturday, November 19th from the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland with Gunnar Nelson and Dong Hyun Kim headlining, it will be the first part of a double header with UFC Fight Night 100 taking place later in the day.
