Holly Holm Topples Megan Anderson At UFC 225

With Cris Cyborg lacking much real competition at 145 pounds where she holds the Featherweight Championship, a former challenger and a highly touted prospect locked horns at UFC 225.

One-time UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm welcomed Megan Anderson to the UFC Saturday night, a year and a half after Anderson’s last fight. For Megan, a title opportunity against one of the greatest, most dominant champions of all-time was on the line. For Holm, relevance across two divisions was at stake.

Holm was able to impose her will after an early flurry from Anderson, and spent the majority of the bout controlling Anderson, pinning her, and working ground and pound wherever available.
