Holly Holm Offered Fight; Still Wants Rematch With De Randamie

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm hasn’t competed since suffering a decision loss to UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine De Randamie at UFC 208.

Following the loss to De Randamie, the management team for Holm filed an appeal with the NYSAC due to illegal strikes from De Randamie, but the appeal was denied.

Holm has been offered a fight with newcomer Ji Yeon Kim at UFC Fight Night 111, but her manager says that they have yet to receive the contract from the UFC.

“I haven’t even spoke with (Holm coach) Mike (Winkeljohn) or Holly yet,” Lenny Fresquez told MMA Junkie. “I have not received a contract.”

The former women’s bantamweight title holder has lost three straight fights since defeating another former women’s bantamweight champion in Ronda Rousey at UFC 193.

Fresquez is also waiting to see what De Randamie’s next move is, because Holm still wants a rematch with her as well.

“(The UFC) hasn’t been able to see what’s going on with her hand,” the manager said. “They don’t know if she’s having surgery, if she’s not having surgery.”

During her three fight losing streak, the former champ in Holm suffered those defeats to the trio of former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, current UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine De Randamie and Valentina Shevchenko.
