Henry Corrales Wants Another Shot At Juan Archuleta: “I’m Dropping Down To 135 Pounds”

Henry Corrales and Juan Archuleta met for the first time at Bellator 238 and Archuleta pulled off a controversial win on that now.

Archuleta is now the Bellator bantamweight champion and the featherweight is willing to drop to 135 pounds for the rematch.

“Brandon (Girtz) is an animal and that’s what the fans deserve, especially coming off my last fight with Juan Archuleta running like a weeny,” Corrales said after Bellator 250 (via Danny Segura of MMA Junkie). “This was super fun. And with that being said, I’m dropping down to 135 pounds and get that rematch.”

The bantamweight champion is expected to face Sergio Pettis next, so Corrales’ shot at revenge may have to wait.

Corrales also accuses Archuleta of flipping off his family after their first fight concluded.

“I like Juan Archuleta on a personal level,” Corrales said. “He’s a good guy, a good father, and a good friend to his buddies. But professionally, as a competitor, he’s a (explicit) gimmick. Any a Mexican from Southern California that’s American that calls himself a Spaniard and dresses up in costumes ain’t a real one, dude. I’m not cool with that guy, I don’t like him. There wasn’t a winner in our fight. He ran, I chased, and nothing happened. I dropped him and I got the only take down. And for him to jump on the cage like he (explicit) won something, it wasn’t cool. It didn’t sit well with me. The fans were booing – justifiably so – and my mother was in the crowd and my friends and family and he flicked everybody off. I’m not down with that. He’s next.”
