Heavyweight Title Fight Headlining WSOF 35

The World Series Of Fighting Heavyweight Title will be defended at the WSOF 35 as champion Blagoy Ivanov is going to be defending against UFC veteran Shawn Jordan.

Ivanov (11-1-0) will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Josh Copeland at the WSOF 31 in 2016. Ivanov did compete in the final Bellator MMA Heavyweight Tournament, losing to former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov in the semi-finals of that tournament. Ivanov has compiled a record of 2-1-0-1NC against UFC veterans, defeating Josh Copeland and Lavar Johnson, suffering a defeat to Alexander Volkov and fighting Ilir Latifi to a no contest.

Jordan (19-7-0) is currently undefeated under the WSOF banner, having defeated Ashley Gooch by TKO at the WSOF 33. Jordan did fight a total of ten times in the UFC, most notably defeating Mike Russow, Pat Barry and Derrick Lewis. Jordan have never competed for a championship in his eight years as a professional MMA fighter and this will also be the first five round fight of his career as well.

World Series Of Fighting 35 takes place on Saturday, February 25 from a location TBA with Ivanov and Shawn Jordan headlining.
