Hard Hitting Lightweight Fight Added To UFC 208

A lightweight division attraction has been added to the first UFC pay-per-view of 2017, as Paul Felder will be battling Gilbert Burns.

Felder (12-3-0) has won four of seven fights under the UFC banner, with some notable wins coming over the likes of Danny Castillo, Josh Burkman and Daron Cruickshank. Felder is also a former Cage Fury Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion, he relinquished the title upon signing with the UFC in 2014. Felder also held a championship as an amateur fighter, as he held the New Breed Fighters Lightweight Title in 2009, but he lost it before turning pro.

Burns (11-2-0) has won four of six fights in UFC competition, defeating Andreas Stahl, Cristos Giagos, Alex Oliveira and Lukasz Sajewski, while suffering defeats to Rashid Magomedov and Michel Prazeres. Burns will be competing on his first UFC pay-per-view card in over two years, the last time he appeared on a UFC pay-per-view card was at UFC 179 in 2014. Burns also went undefeated during his time as an amateur fighter, defeating Jamie Sanchez by second round submission in 2011.

UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with no headliners announced as of yet.
