Francis Ngannou Taking Time Off After UFC 220 Loss
Francis Ngannou came up on the wrong side of the judge’s scorecards in a loss to UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220.
The challenger said after the fight that he learned a lot from the experience, but now the fighter is taking some time away from competition.
It was through Instagram and Twitter where Ngannou revealed he was taking a break from fighting:
In my dark way, I'm taking some time off which will benefit my personal life by going back home to enjoy family and friends . Then I'll be back to set businesses up #relaxation #familytime

Ngannou did no give a time frame for how long the break is going to be or when he could possibly return to action. Ngannou signed with the UFC in late 2015 and has already fought seven times for the promotion, including his last two fights happening in less than two months time.
