Four Bouts Added To UFC Fight Night: Japan
Four more bouts are now set for the UFC Fight Night: Japan card as Hyun Gyu Lim faces Daichi Abe, Alex Morono faces Keita Nakamura, Rolando Dy faces Teruto Ishihara and Mizuto Hirota faces Charles Rosa.
Lim (13-6-1) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Takenori Sato at UFC Fight Night 52. Lim is going to be competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout came at UFC 202 in August 2016.
Abe (5-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and only one of his professional MMA fights have gone the distance. Abe has seen his other four wins as a pro come via KO/TKO and three of those wins have been first round finishes.
Morono (13-4-0) has won just two of three in the UFC, with those two wins coming over the duo of Kyle Noke and James Moontasri. Morono has spent the majority of his career in the Legacy Fighting Championships, winning a total of seven fights in the promotion.
Nakamura (32-8-2-1NC) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with his last fight being a loss to Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at UFC Fight Night 96. Nakamura is currently in the midst of his second run with the UFC, as he went winless during that first run.
Dy (8-5-1-1NC) is currently winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped a bout to Alex Caceres at UFC Fight Night 111. Dy has spent the majority of his professional MMA career in the Pacific Xtreem Combat promotion, winning seven fights in the promotion.
Ishihara (9-4-2) has won just two of five fights during his time in the UFC, with those two wins coming over Julian Erosa and Horacio Gutierrez. Ishihara competed just about a month ago at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale, suffering a decision loss to Gray Maynard.
Hirota (18-8-2) has won just one of three fights thus far during his UFC run, with that lone victory coming over Cole Miller at UFC On Fox 22. Hirota is also in his second run with the UFC and the fighter did go winless during his initial run in the promotion.
Rosa (11-3-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with his last fight being a loss to Shane Burgos at UFC 210. Rosa also spent a lot of time competing in the CES MMA promotion, winning a total of five fights there.
UFC Fight Night: Japan takes place on Saturday, September 23 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with Mauricio Rua and Ovince St. Preux headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
