First Image Of UFC’s Venum Apparel Has Been Leaked, More News | Social Media Roundup
The first image of the UFC’s new Venum apparel which is scheduled to be revealed in April has been leaked — this and much more on Wednesday’s social media roundup.
Pictures of the UFC’s new Venum attire have been leaked
The UFC’s deal with Reebok is set to end in April and the next company who will handle the UFC’s fighter apparel/kit will be Venum. Unlike Reebox, Venum is a company that specializes in attire for multiple combat sports such as MMA, boxing, and jiu-jitsu, so the collaboration with Venum and the UFC has got fans and many of the fighters excited.
However, the first images of the attire have been leaked and it is fair to say that the attire so far looks very plain and underwhelming.
Below is an image of UFC featherweight contender Brian Ortega wearing the new attire.

As you can see in the picture the attire looks very plain and looks like it has very little thought behind it which is disappointing as so many fans were looking forward to seeing the attire for the first time next month.

Islam Makhachev calls out Rafael dos Anjos
After putting on a very impressive performance against Drew Dober this past weekend at UFC 259, UFC lightweight contender Islam Makhachev is looking to get back in the Octagon in the next few months to fight former champion Rafael dos Anjos.
Hey @RdosAnjosMMA if you don’t like all this hype around me, let’s finish our business in July @ufc
— Makhachev Islam (@MAKHACHEVMMA) March 10, 2021
Makhachev earned a third-round submission win over Dober and did not really take any damage.
Makhachev and dos Anjos were originally scheduled to fight in November last year but Makhachev was forced to pull out of the fight which meant that dos Anjos would instead fight Paul Felder.
Dos Anjos put on a dominant performance over Felder landing multiple takedowns and really good ground and pound. Dos Anjos has recently spoken about his desire to get the lightweight belt back before he retires and a win over a guy like Makhachev would certainly have him on the right track to doing so.
How do you think a fight between Makhachev and dos Anjos would go down?
Big neck problems
As well as being one of the best fighters on the planet, Gilbert Burns is known for having an unusually huge neck.
Check out this hilarious post from Burns’ coach Henri Hooft which shows Burns’ neck blocking his view of the fights.

Belal Muhammad’s journey to the top
It has been a whirlwind few months for Belal Muhammad as he has gone from a low-ranked welterweight to fighting the number three ranked welterweight in a matter of months.
Prior to getting his shot in the UFC, Muhammad struggled to get fights anywhere which meant that he actually had to personally email promotions such as ONE FC and Ring of Combat to ask for fights.

Michael Bisping still looking sharp on the pads
You would’ve thought that being retired for three and a half years, losing an eye, having a double knee replacement, and a neck surgery that Michael Bisping would’ve slowed down a little bit.
Well no, he hasn’t.
