First Fights Announced To Bellator 176

The first fights have been announced for the upcoming Bellator 176 card as Carrington Banks takes on Mihail Nica and Djamil Chan faces Valeriu Mircea.

Banks (6-0-0) has already earned two victories under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating the duo of CJ Keith and Jake Roberts. Banks also competed once under the Legacy Fighting Championships banner, defeating Justin Reiswerg by unanimous decision.

Nica (5-0-0) will be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he has seen only one of his five professional MMA fights go past the opening round. Nica has fought twice in the Fight Or Nothing promotion, defeating Giuseppe Aramini and Aldo Cirillo.

Chan (12-3-0) has won just one of two fights in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Richard Patishnick and suffering a defeat to Derek Campos. Chan has already held two belts as a pro, as he was the former Respect Fighting Championships and German MMA Championships Lightweight Champion.

Mircea (13-4-0) is currently winless under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a fight to Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 168. Mircea fought a grand total of nine times in 2016, having earned a record of 7-2-0 in those fights, it was the most active year of Mircea’s professional MMA career.

Bellator 176 takes place on Saturday, April 8 from the Pala Alpitour in Turin, Italy with no main event announced at this time.
