Fighters React To Tony Ferguson Stopping Donald Cerrone At UFC 238
It was an anti-climatic finish but Tony Ferguson battered Donald Cerrone at UFC 238, walking away with a stoppage victory at the end of the second round. For 10-minutes, the fight was everything fans had hoped it would be with each man landing their best shot only to see their opponent keep walking forward. After two rounds, the right eye of Cerrone was swollen to the point that he could not continue. Cerrone didn’t help his cause as he blew his busted nose, causing the eye to swell up faster.
The fight was not without some controversy as Ferguson landed a late punch to the nose of Cerrona after the bell rang to signify the end of round two. However, the punch was ruled as having no influence on the outcome.
Here’s how fighters reacted to the bout.

Human instinct, any fighter will touch his eye if he can’t see. Had he not touch his eye maybe the fight would go another round. Any way that was a good fight.

Really feel bad for both guys. Cowboy class act. Tony looks like he has tears in his eyes and is upset with himself. Both guys handling it very well. #UFC238
