• As fans wait for an official announcement, Javier Mendez has added substance to the rumors of UFC 242 hosting Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier. • Former UFC Lightweight Alex Gorgees has accepted a 16-month suspension from USADA. He failed an in-competition test that was submitted on Dec. 2, 2018, testing positive for metabolites of a pair of banned substances.
• Five years after his octagon debut, Nick Hein has announced his retirement from MMA. Hein exits the sport with a 14-5 record, bidding farewell on Facebook after being stopped by Frank Camacho at UFC Stockholm.
