Former Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson and Patricky Freire will now headline the card.
Fans are eligible to get a refund for the event, according to the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).
There is no word yet on which fight will be moved from the preliminary card to the main card, or if the main card will now consist of four fights, instead of five.
Bellator 172 takes place tonight from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Josh Thomson and Patricky Freire headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event.
