Fabian Edwards Issues A Warning To Jorge Masvidal

Fabian Edwards is the brother of UFC fighter Leon Edwards, who was involved in a post-show brawl with Jorge Masvidal at UFC Fight Night London.

The Bellator MMA star says that the altercation was Masvidal’s fault, as the fighter allegedly provoked Leon into fighting him.

“Like you seen in the video, my brother was walking by and he said to him, ‘July the 7th,’ Masvidal said, ‘maybe,’ and that was it, there was nothing really and truly; there was no sh*t talking. There was no instigating, [Leon] was trying to make a fight happen,” says Edwards to MMA Fighting.

There are going to be no repercussions for either fighter from the UFC, as UFC President Dana White blames the UFC staff for allowing the confrontation to happen.

While Fabian wasn’t physically involved in the post-show brawl, it could be a different story if he ever sees Masvidal again.

“The thing that pissed me off about it was the way he walked over. He walked over calm; hands behind his back…and then he starts throwing punches knowing well that security was going to jump on it. I tried to smash his head in myself, but we had about 100 security guards between us, so I couldn’t get my hands on him. If I see that man again he’s f*cked. I probably won’t see him in the cage because he’s a different weight class to me, but if I see him outside I’m smashing him. It’s personal now,” says Edwards.

Bellator MMA Europe 2 takes place on Saturday, May 4 from the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England with Brent Primus and Tim Wilde headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on the Bellator app.
