Exclusive: Patricky “Pitbull” Freire Expecting A Easy Fight Against Derek Campos At Bellator 194

It's often joked on Fightful that Bellator won't run a show without a "Pitbull" brother headlining. However, Bellator 194 will see "Patricky Pitbull" in a co-main event slot.

When speaking to James Lynch of Fightful.com, Pitbull opened up about being in the hottest point of his MMA career– fresh off of wins over former UFC Champion Benson Henderson, and former Strikeforce Champion Josh Thomson.

"Two names that are at the same level. Josh Thomson is a guy I have a lot of respect for. He's an old school guy, too. He's a good guy, a tough guy, at the top for many years. I look for high level wins for guys like Ben Henderson and Josh Thomson," said Pitbull.

Pitbull faces off with Derek Campos at Bellator 194, who he actually TKO'd back in 2014 at Bellator 117. Friere doesn't see much change in Campos' game since four years ago, either.

"Nothing!," Pitbull joked. "His chin is tough like a rock. No change in the game plan. He likes to stand up and bang. No wrestling, only a lot of punching and kicking and getting ready for the opponent."

Friere, however, was quick to put over his advancements since their first fight.

"Wrestling, strength and conditioning and my mental (game)," said Pitbull of his improvements.

In the full interview, Patricky Pitbull Freire (18-8) discusses his upcoming fight against Derek Campos (19-6) at Bellator 194 on Feb. 16. Patricky also talks about his win over Benson Henderson, his training camp for this matchup, his pick for the upcoming Michael Chandler vs.  Brent Primus rematch and his favorite TV shows.
