EXCLUSIVE: Frank Trigg Says Jon Jones Should Only Have After Party “At Children’s Library”
Frank Trigg says Jon Jones after party makes no sense.
At UFC 210, Jones came to watch Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson fight for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. On Fightful MMA's podcast, Frank Trigg discussed his opinion on Jones being at the event since he's under suspension. Trigg also criticized Jones' manager Malki Kawa for allowing Jones to host an after party following UFC 210 in Buffalo. Jones has had issues with drugs and alcohol which have put him in trouble with the law and athletic commissions. Trigg finds the idea of Jones being at a bar for a party troubling.
"I also got to wonder about Malki Kawa, his manager. He has (Jones) doing an after party, in Buffalo, after the fights are over," said Trigg. "He's become an alcoholic, a recovering drug addict, and you have him doing an after party. Unless the after party is at the children's library, I don't know what the hell this guy is thinking. Let's not forget, people keep forgetting, his brother got suspended, the same month he got suspended, his brother got suspended for the same drug. So the family is doing this and the family has issues. Now (Kawa) is like 'Oh yeah, we can do this after-party', at this bar, as a recovering alcoholic and a recovering drug addict. This doesn't make any sense," Trigg continued.
During the podcast, Trigg also discussed the events leading up to UFC 210 and gave his predication for some of the fights on the card.
Trigg is on Fightful MMA's podcast each Thursday, he discusses current mixed-martial-arts events with host "Showdown Joe" Ferraro
