Exclusive: Elias Theodorou Reveals Penalty For Breaking TUF Rules
Elias Theodorou has plenty of reasons not to reveal any dirt from his experience on The Ultimate Fighter.
Five million of them, to be precise.
On the latest episode of his exclusive podcast at Fightful.com with Showdown Joe, Theodorou revealed that he would love to share some of the unseen stories from his time on TUF, but that he can't
"You sign a $5 million nondisclosure [agreement]," he said. "I'll be happy to tell you if you give me the $5 million."
Theodorou was part of TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia, which aired in 2014. He won the middleweight division of the reality contest, winning two fights by decision and then topping Sheldon Westcott by second-round TKO in the finals.
Theodorou also discussed some of the dynamic that went on in the house during filming. Specifically, he noted some of his fellow competitors who tried to portray tough personas that would seem to "deflate once their ego is put back in check."
Theodorou, who has a 13-1 record as a professional, will be back in action against Brad Tavares (14-4) on July 7 at The Ultimate Fighter 25 finale, which is being held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
"Both inside the cage and out, I guess I would say, inside the cage, he's a tough individual. He always comes to win," Theodorou said of Tavares. "He's fought veterans, he's fought top-10 individuals, he's athletic, he comes from a kickboxing background where he's going to try to knock my block off. Like I said before, I have more tools in my toolkit."
