Exclusive: Colby Covington Says Ronda Rousey Is Ruining WWE Crossover For UFC Fighters By Acting Like A Mark

Colby Covington doesn't seem to share the positive reviews of many others as it relates to Ronda Rousey's performance in WWE thus far.

Covington spoke to Fightful.com's James Lynch recently about Ronda Rousey's first couple of months in WWE. Not only did Covington not enjoy it, he thinks that she may be costing others crossover potential.

"She's marking out, man. WWE did not pay her to go over there and mark out and the way she's acting. They paid her to go out there and be the Ronda that we all know and be the one who gets in people's face's and creates controversy and drama. She's acting like a mark and she's really ruining it for UFC fighters. She's giving us a bad name and it sucks because I look forward to crossing over to WWE in the near future," said Covington.

While Covington has never appeared for WWE, he did have a stint in Impact Wrestling alongside current WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley. Covington, Dan Lambert, Stephan Bonnar and King Mo were all brought over among other MMA personalities for a storyline with the company.

According to Covington, he's had talks with Impact, but hasn't came to terms on any type of agreement He is, however, open to making appearances for WWE moving forward.

"There's been some talks. I'm too busy. I have a belt to win, I have women to sleep with. I don't have a lot of time in my schedule, it's jam packed. If WWE comes calling, you'll see me maybe making an appearance at Summerslam. Little talks, but we have to get this title around my waist, and then the talks are going to get a lot more heated," said Covington.

Covington faces Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225 on June 9 for the interim UFC Welterweight Championship.

Fightful also reported exclusively last week that Ronda Rousey had been in touch with WWE Superstar turned UFC fighter CM Punk since her pro wrestling career has taken off. You can see the full interview with Colby Covington above.
