Eric Spicely Released By The UFC For A Second Time
Eric Spicely’s second run with the UFC has come to an end, as the fighter has now been released by the promotion for a second time.
The fighter announced the news himself through Instagram:
Alright @ufc this is goodbye again for now. Let’s see if we can do a 3 peat. Sorry to all my fans.

Spicely was scheduled to face Markus Perez this past weekend at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, but was pulled from the card due to a bad weight cut. The fighter did claim the bad weight cut stemmed from taking antidepressants, but no further details were provided.
A released Spicely went 2-5-0 during his two runs with the promotion, with those wins coming over Thiago Santos and Alessio Di Chirico, while those losses came to Sam Alvey, Antonio Carlos Jr., Gerald Meerschaert, Darren Stewart and Deron Winn.
There is no word yet to what is next for the released Spicely, as his only other MMA appearances came in the CES MMA promotion, but they haven’t run any events since the coronavirus pandemic began.
