Eddie Wineland Faces Alejandro Perez At UFC Fight Night Boise
A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight night Boise card as #15 Eddie Wineland is going to be in action against Alejandro Perez.
Wineland (23-12-1) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Frankie Saenz and Takeya Mizugaki. Wineland hasn’t competed in just over a year, with his last fight being a loss to John Dodson at UFC Fight Night 108. Wineland has also previously challenged for the UFC Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Renan Barao at UFC 165.
Perez (20-6-1) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak and the competitor hasn’t suffered a loss in almost three years. Perez won the UFC Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 1, defeating Jose Alberto Quinonez by unanimous decision in the finals of the reality show. Perez has suffered just a single defeat in UFC competition and that came against Patrick Williams at UFC 188.
