Eddie Alvarez Wants Conor McGregor; Dana White Has Different Idea

Although there is already a title bout announced for UFC 205 as Tyron Woodley is defending the welterweight title against Stephen Thompson, UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez wants to defend his championship and he has an opponent in mind and UFC President Dana White has an opponent in mind as well.

Alvarez has been saying that he wants to defend the championship against current UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor. White on the other hand, revealed on his Twitter account that it will be Alvarez defending the gold against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Now, it should be noted that even though White has said via his Twitter that it will be Alvarez versus Nurmagomedov for the belt, the bout agreement has yet to be signed by the champion, according to Nurmagomedov himself.

As for the third man in this title fight triangle, UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor, he issued a short but sweet statement via his Twitter as well.

UFC 205 is taking place on Saturday, November 12th from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York and no main event has been announced as of this time.
