Ed Herman Responds To Critics After UFC Vegas 10 Controversy, Challenges Michael Bisping
Ed Herman found himself on the wrong side of controversy at UFC Vegas 10.
Referee Chris Tognoni halted a fight between Herman and Mike Rodriguez after Rodriguez apparently landed a low blow on Herman, which was actually a knee strike to the midsection. Fans weren’t too pleased with what went down at UFC Vegas 10, but they didn’t just take it out on Herman, as they also went after his wife.
“‘Your husband’s a dumb*ss, your husband’s a cheater (fans told Herman’s wife),’” Herman told MMA Fighting. “You get in the cage in fight, or come and say that sh*t to my wife’s face. She’ll kick you in the face.”
The fans weren’t the only ones who had an issue with what went down at UFC Vegas 10, as former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping also allegedly criticized Herman on commentary. Herman says that if the retired Bisping has an issue with them, it could be settled in the Octagon.
“Bisping I think is kind of a punk, because to my face, he acts like he’s my buddy, and then kind of came after me and made me look bad and talked some trash, so it’s kind of messed up,” Herman said. “If he wants to come out of retirement and throw the gloves on, we can do that.”
UFC President Dana White not only blasted the referee after the bout but he also gave Rodriguez his win bonus.
