Donald Cerrone Plans On Fighting With The UFC For At Least 5 More Years

Donald Cerrone is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC Fight Night Singapore 2018.

Despite the recent setbacks in the promotion, a confident Cerrone believes he can still fight in the UFC for at least five more years.

“I love where the sport is going. I’m gonna stay here and keep fighting until they tell me I can’t anymore,” he said at the post-fight press conference. “This old dog has still got a lot in me. I stood there five rounds and gave it hell, and with a smile on my face. At least five more years, literally, until the UFC says no more.”

Cerrone has won just one of his last five under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Yancy Medeiros at UFC Fight Night Austin.

Whether he last five years or less, one thing Cowboy knows is that there are plenty of fights left in him.

“I have so many fights left in me. If tonight was my last fight, I’d be upset, but I’m gonna go until the UFC says, Cowboy, enough bro,” he said.

Cowboy averages about four fights a year in the UFC and if he does stay for another five years, fans could be treated to as many as twenty fights from Cerrone.
