Dillon Danis Says Press Conference Was A Charity Event For Max Humphrey
Dillon Danis is back in action at Bellator 222, facing Max Humphrey in a catchweight division encounter.
Both fighters appeared at the Bellator 222 Press Conference and Danis says that it was a charity event for Humphrey.
“I didn’t get to say it up there, but I feel like I’m doing a charity event in a way,” he told MMA Junkie. “I’m helping this guy; he’s taking selfies. I’d rather have someone that’s on my level that can actually talk. I know it will happen one day. It’s just a matter of time.”
Humphrey may be the more experienced fighter overall, but Danis is easily the more well known fighter of the two.
The undefeated Danis is a submission specialist and the fighter believes that Humphrey’s fighting style plays right into his skill set.
“He’s a brawler, which a brawler against a guy that’s technical and smart and has the IQ on the ground that I have, it’s an easy night,” Danis said. “He’s going to fall right into one of my traps.”
Bellator 222 takes place on Friday, June 14 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
