Darren Till Out; Chris Curtis Steps In Against Jack Hermansson At UFC London
Former UFC title challenger, Darren Till, has been forced out of his upcoming bout with Jack Hermansson in the Octagon’s return to London, England on July 23 due to an undisclosed injury.
ESPN’s Marc Raimondi was the first to report the news of Till’s removal from the bout, with Till himself also posting a video clip to his official Twitter account of his right knee being drained as he’s in a hospital. Raimondi additionally reported that surging veteran Chris Curtis will now step in to face Hermansson on short notice. Curtis is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak and is 3-0 since returning to 185 pounds last November. He will look to build off of a unanimous decision victory over Rodolfo Vieira back at UFC Vegas 57 in his latest Octagon outing. Hermansson on the other hand is 2-3 in his last five fights and will try to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC Vegas 47.
I know all the English fans are frustrated and gutted with @darrentill2 pulling out but guys, at this level injuries happen a lot. Especially when you train hard. I know Till, he busts his ass. But I promise you me and Jack will try to give you guys some proper entertainment.
