Darren Till Claims Donald Cerrone Is A Broken Man

Darren Till earned what may have been the biggest win of his professional MMA career when he defeated Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC Fight Night Gdansk.

Till feels that the fighter who stepped into the Octagon against him was nothing more than a broken man.

“As soon as he stepped into the cage on Saturday, I knew that he was a broken man,” Till said on The MMA Hour. “I knew that he was mine. He was mine, he was in my world. My confidence is not fake, it’s 100 percent real and that’s what it is. He just walked into the cage. He wasn’t the Cowboy that I had seen fight Robbie Lawler. He wasn’t the Cowboy that I had seen fight all these years. He looked at me and he could just see a 24-year-old monster in front of him. He was trying to get hyped while he was in the cage. I could see him when I was walking around and I was just standing, looking and smiling with this confidence that I was going to take him out in a few minutes. I just knew, mate.”

Cerrone did not comment much after the fight against Till, other than to congratulate his opponent on his victory.

The victorious Till knows Cerrone gave him a huge opportunity by taking the fight, but also says Cerrone may not have made the best decision there.

“Cowboy gave me the opportunity, he didn’t need to give me the opportunity and he did,” Till said. “It wasn’t the best decision from himself because he didn’t know me before this fight. The thing is with me that you might not know me, but when you get into that cage with me and you look across and I’m standing there – you know that it’s real and that my confidence is real.”

It is unknown who Till will fight next, but he has called out both Stephen Thompson and Mike Perry since the Cerrone bout.
