Daniel Cormier Wants To Play A Game Of Madden With Chris Weidman, Big Money Potentially At Stake
Two division UFC champion Daniel Cormier and former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman are both competing tonight at UFC 230.
The two fighters were recently seen together after the UFC 230 workouts, where DC issued a challenge to Weidman in a game of Madden.
“Hey, look, this is what happens when you knock out Anderson Silva,” Cormier joked while handing Weidman some dough. “I won by decision, so I don’t have that money. Listen, here’s the deal, there are beautiful women in the world: Jennifer Lopez – who is just a dream to every man. If I had to go meet her right now, I couldn’t make it. And I want Weidman and Madden, more than I want to kiss Jennifer Lopez. I couldn’t make it, I just can’t make it. I wan’t to beat him so bad. This guy, let me tell you something… Anybody that oversells like you can’t be very good. Tomorrow, after weigh-ins. You’ll be drinking all day. I’ll come to your room. I promise I’ll have water, gallons and jugs waiting for you.Hey, lets raise the ante. Every touchdown you score? $1000. I’m shutting this dude out, man! I’m the king of Madden! I run this Madden UFC shit!”
There is no official record for the most touchdowns scored in a single game of Madden, which just released its latest incarnation of the video game this past August. The UFC 230 official and ceremonial weigh-ins are now complete, so the UFC fighters could be playing each other as you read this.
UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
