Dana White Won’t Commit To CM Punk Or Cruz/Garbrandt

Dana White is not saying a lot about CM Punk's future in the UFC.

TMZ interviewed White on the street about the hottest topics in UFC. Among those topics were the recent performance and future of CM Punk.

“I’ve got to talk to him. He called me the night of the fight. We talked. He was on his way home. I told him to go spend some time with his wife and live like a normal person for a while, and then we’ll get on the phone and talk about what’s next” said White.

CM Punk lost in two minutes and fifteen seconds at UFC 203 against Mickey Gall. CM Punk had been training for eighteen months intermittently between injuries. According to Dave Meltzer UFC 203 earned 425,000 to 475,000 pay-per-view buys, below expectations.

White also spoke with TMZ about the state of the bantamweight division and who champion Dominick Cruz will face.

"I love that fight (Cruz vs Cody Garbrandt). Obviously (Garbrandt) has stated his case, he's been wrecking people in spectacular fashion. I love the kid and we'll see. Let's not forget T.J. Dillashaw is out there too, because he just beat Assunção, he's the number one ranked guy in the world. So, one of those two will get the fight (with Cruz)" said White.

Dillashaw is a former champion who defended the title twice while Cruz came back from multiple ACL injuries. Garbrandt is 5-0 with 4 knockouts in the UFC and a member of Team Alpha Male, which is owned by Cruz's long-time rival Urijah Faber.

CM Punk's MMA plans moving forward aren't quite clear yet.
