Dana White Says UFC Could Host Events In Texas “Next Month,” More News | Social Media Roundup
UFC president Dana White has confirmed that the UFC is looking to host an event with fans in Texas “next month” — this and much more on Friday’s social media roundup.
Dana White confirms that the UFC could host an event in Texas “next month“
Earlier this week, the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott confirmed that the state will abolish all COVID-19 rules and restrictions. This leaves the door wide open for things such as maximum capacity concerts and sporting events to be held freely in Texas.
The UFC president Dana White has been all about being first in everything in sports since the COVID-19 pandemic began last March, and White is once again looking at another first as he targets the UFC to host a full capacity event in Texas as early as “next month.”

In the video above, White said “As soon as Texas opened, I called. I want to go to Texas ASAP!“
With these comments from White, it seems that one of the UFC’s upcoming pay-per-views will have fans in. The pay per view which they will likely have the return of fans in is UFC 261 which is currently headlined by Valentina Shevchenko vs Jessica Andrade.
Having UFC 260, which is headlined by the super fight between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou in Texas seems a bit early for plans to be sorted to hold the event with fans in but really anything is possible.
Are you excited for the return of fans?

Exotic Shirts in MMA
In the past in MMA, we have seen some pretty exotic shirts at press conferences. Conor McGregor is always wearing funky shirts and of course, Jorge Masvidal has a questionable fashion sense, but now Alexander Volkanovski has taken the prize for the best shirt worn by an MMA fighter ever.
