Dana White Says “Lookin’ For A Fight” Coming To Abu Dhabi
The UFC just held UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi, which saw Khabib Nurmagomedov defeat Dustin Poirier in the main event via third round submission to become the undisputed UFC Lightweight Champion.
It would seem like UFC events aren’t the only thing coming to the region, as Dana White’s Lookin’ For A Fight could be filming there in the future as well.
“When we come back next year, we’re talking about doing ‘Lookin’ for a Fight’ and actually having the fight on top of the Louvre (Abu Dhabi). We’re going to do some cool stuff when we come back here next year,” White said at the UFC 242 post-fight press conference (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie).
There is no word yet on when the reality show could be filming in the country or which promotion will run a card that will get checked out by White and his co-horts. The reality show sees White and co-hosts attend a non-UFC event and usually a particular fighter or fighters is featured, with a UFC contract offered if the subject of the reality show performs well enough in front of the UFC brass.
Sage Northcutt was probably the most notable name to come from the reality show, as he earned a UFC contract on the very first episode of the reality show.
