Dana White Says Dealing With Conor McGregor Is Worth It

UFC President Dana White has seen some crazy things happen during his years at the helm of the UFC, but former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor may be the craziest of them all.

In the mind of White, its all worth it to deal with McGregor’s antics because they all work well together.

“Conor works very well with us. We’ve worked very well with him,” White said on ESPN’s Get Up. “There are obviously certain things you have to deal with, with a Conor McGregor. He’s worth it.”

McGregor’s latest antics took place at the UFC 229 press conference, where the fighter laid into UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for the duration of the presser.

White even cites the UFC 229 press conference as one of the reasons he puts up with McGregor’s antics.

“For example, the New York thing. The fact that he thought he could come here and have this beef with Khabib in the middle of New York City and the way that it was done, that’s obviously the craziest thing,” White said. “Normal, typical stuff for Conor — showing up an hour late for the press conference.”

UFC 229 takes place on Saturday, October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
