Dana White Says Corey Anderson Will Be More Competitive In Bellator, Anderson Responds
UFC President Dana White believes Bellator will be a better fit for Corey Anderson.
Anderson recently inked a multi-fight deal with Bellator. White says the former UFC fighter is going to be more competitive in Bellator than he was in the UFC.
“First of all, it’s the right move for him. This isn’t something that we’ve never done before. I think that he feels, and we feel, that he can be more competitive there,” White said after UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar (via Simon Head and Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie).
Anderson was not too happy with White’s statement and issued the following statement on Twitter:
It doesn’t bother me that he’s still lyin on my name. Anyone who knows me or knows MMA knows this isn’t true. But what doesn’t sit right with me is the people I consider close to me who have power that knows this isn’t true are sitting quiet. Just know I see you. #thataintloyal https://t.co/xRhP5wsHuf

The former UFC fighter had successful run in the UFC, earning a 10-5-0 record in the promotion. He holds notable wins over Jan Blachowicz, Fabio Maldonado, Tom Lawlor, Patrick Cummins, Glover Teixeira, Ilir Latifi and Johnny Walker.
