Dana White Says All Female UFC Champions Could Meet In Super Fights

The UFC currently has three women’s champions in four different weight classes, as Amanda Nunes holds the bantamweight and featherweight titles, while Weili Zhang holds the strawweight strap and Valentina Shevchenko is the flyweight champ.

There has been talk of super fight between some of the champions and fans alike, which is something UFC President Dana White could see happening in the future.

“All of those can happen, but what I really like to see people do is stay in their weight classed continue to knock people off,” White said to MMA Junkie. “Continue to build their legacy and their name, and when the time is right, those big crossover fights can happen.”

Shevchenko and Nunes have met twice before, but no other combinations of the champions have met in the Octagon.

White also likes the current era of women’s champions in the UFC, as White refers to all three as bad asses.

“I mean, if you ask anybody right now about the women’s division, they’ll tell you about Amanda Nunes, Valentina Shevchenko and Weili Zhang. Literally the three champions in each division are as badass as they can be, so it’s fun,” says White.

Zhang and Shevchenko both have title defenses lined up for the next two months, while Nunes doesn’t have one set at the moment.
