Dana White Open To Giving Conor McGregor Ownership Stake In The UFC
UFC President Dana White holds an ownership stake in the UFC, which is primarily owned by the WME-IMG corporation.
When it comes to UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor having a stake in the company, it is a conversation that White is willing to have.
“I have a feeling we’re going to have that conversation,” White told MMA Junkie. “And I don’t mind it. I welcome that conversation. He deserves it.”
If McGregor were to get an ownership stake in the UFC in the future, then he would become the first former or active fighter to have such a thing.
Even White would be the first to admit that McGregor having an ownership stake in the company would be something that has never been done before.
“It’s never been done, but anything is possible. There’s a lot of people who feel like they’re worth this, and they’re worth that – we know what this kid’s worth,” says White.
Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
