Dana White On Oscar De La Hoya’s Return: “Cocaine Isn’t Cheap”

It is safe to say UFC President Dana White and Golden Boy Promotions’ Oscar De La Hoya are still not friends.

De La Hoya, 47, recently announced his return to the boxing ring and White made the following crack about it over the weekend.

“Cocaine isn’t cheap,” White said after UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar (via Mike Bohn and Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie). “It’s expensive. You’ve got to make money.”

White and De La Hoya have been at each other’s throats for quite some time. Their relationship turned sour after De La Hoya trashed the marquee boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor. White has taken repeated digs at the boxer’s battles with addiction.

De La Hoya does not yet have a fight booked for his return from retirement. He expressed interest in boxing “any top guy out there,” betting on his own drive.
