Dana White Claims Brock Lesnar Is Fighting Soon
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen in Octagon action since UFC 200.
Lesnar is expected to be back in action once the USADA suspension ends, clearing to way for a return in 2019.
UFC President Dana White is aware that Lesnar may be attending UFC 230 and says the fighter is going to be fighting soon.
“Brock Lesnar might be in New York,” White said to ESPN. “That’s not guaranteed, we haven’t talked about it or anything, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he called and said, ‘I’m coming to the fight.’ I plan on Brock Lesnar fighting soon.”
The former heavyweight champion initially defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200, but the bout was overturned to a no contest after a pair of failed drug tests. Lesnar last appeared at UFC 226, getting into a physical confrontation with UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. Cormier is expected to defend the heavyweight strap against Lesnar next year, but must first get passed Derrick Lewis at UFC 230.
Fans will see Lesnar inside the squared circle next at WWE Crown Jewel, facing Braun Strowman for the vacant WWE Universal Title.
