Dana White, Ari Emanuel Sign New 7-Year Deals With The UFC
UFC announced major broadcast deals and extensions on Monday, and they’ll have Dana White and Ari Emanuel around to see it through.
UFC President Dana White announced on Monday during an interview with Megan Olivi that he’s re-signed with the company. In addition, Ari Emanuel will be remaining with the UFC, at least for the life of the ESPN-UFC deal.
“With what we’re doing on Fight Pass, I’m going to be doing so much incredible content that has to do with fighting and unbelievable stuff with MMA. Between us and ESPN, there’s never been a better time to be a fan. With ESPN, we had a five-year deal with them. Now we have a seven-year deal, and Ari Emanuel and I signed a seven-year deal, too. We’re here for seven years, ESPN is here for seven years, and the incredible things we’re going to work on — I can’t tell you how excited I am for this stuff,” said White. “I do what I do over here, I have the vision where the sport’s going to go. Ari can get anyone on the phone and can raise money like this.”
White went on to say that he considers the UFC one of the “big four” sports in the country now. Those were long considered to be football, baseball, basketball and hockey. White would go on to blast the media for its negativity.
