Dan Hardy Says Conor McGregor vs. Diego Sanchez “Would Be An Execution”
Conor McGregor and Diego Sanchez have called out one another, but one person who has no interest in the fight is Dan Hardy.
The fighter and UFC color commentator says the fight would end gruesomely should it come together.
“It would be an execution to put Conor in there with Sanchez at this point,” said Hardy at a recent media scrum (via Alexander K Lee of MMA Fighting). “And I don’t think Conor would really gain anything from it.”
It seems like McGregor may have already moved on from a potential bout against Sanchez as he and Dustin Poirier have agreed to a supposed charity fight on December 12. Hardy believes the only reason McGregor brought up the potential bout against Sanchez was to get his name in the headlines.
“Who knows what Conor’s thinking?” Hardy said. “I don’t know. He loves a headline. And if a week goes by without him being in the headlines, he’s gonna do something outlandish to garner some attention. I think that’s what that was.”
