Cris Cyborg Becomes UFC Featherweight Champion At UFC 214 (Video)

Cris "Cyborg" Justino had a game opponent in Tonya Evinger, but viciously stopped her opponent to capture UFC gold at UFC 214 Saturday night. 

Cyborg and Evinger went to round three, with the former Invicta Bantamweight Champion Evinger briefly threatening in the first round with a couple of takedowns, before being soundly beaten over the duration of three rounds.

Round Three: The round begins with Cyborg attacking Evinger with some leg kicks, Evinger starts taking a few swings at Cyborg. Cyborg cracks Evinger with a right followed by a head kick attempt, Cyborg drops Evinger with a right and she allows her to stand up. Cyborg then nails Evinger with a spinning heel kick to the midsection, Cyborg drops Evinger with a series of knee strikes and pounces on her with strikes until the referee jumps in.

Cyborg has now held championships in Strikeforce, Invicta and UFC. Previous champion Germaine de Randamie was stripped of the championship when she decided not to defend it against Cyborg. De Randamie, Cyborg, Holm and Evinger are the only female fighters to compete at 145 pounds in the UFC thus far.
