Conor McGregor Signs Contract To Fight Floyd Mayweather

After well over a year of trash talk, at least one of the contracts has been signed for the potential Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather superfight.

UFC Lightweight Champion McGregor announced that he's signed his half of the deal to face the boxing great.

"It is an honor to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management,” McGregor said on The Mac Life.

“The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

UFC President Dana White appeared on NBA on TNT, where he confirmed that McGregor has agreed to terms for the fight.

There is no rumored date for the fight, but negotiations have been ongoing for months. Mcgregor hasn't fought in the UFC since last November, as he awaited the birth of his son. McGregor, however, has already been training in preparation for the infinitely more experienced Mayeather.
