Conor McGregor is known for flashing his wealth and popularity and that doesn’t change just because he’s days out from his main event at UFC 257 against Dustin Poirier.

The brash-Irishman took to Twitter to share photos of himself aboard of a super yacht on UFC’s Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

McGregor is set to main event UFC 257 on Jan. 23 alongside Dustin Poirier in a rematch from UFC 178 when McGregor defeated Poirier via first-round TKO.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Excited For Future Of Eagle Fighting Championships

During the main card of UFC Fight Island 7, UFC President Dana White announced Khabib Nurmagomedov’s “decision” on his retirement…and it wasn’t much of a decision.

The Russian-born UFC lightweight champion apparently told White that he’s staying retired unless someone at UFC 257 can “impress” him during either the main event between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier or in the co-main event between Dan Hooker and promotional-newcomer, former Bellator lightweight champion, Michael Chandler.

Nevertheless, Nurmagomedov acquired MMA promotion Gorilla Fighting Championship, in November 2020 and renamed it Eagle Fighting Championship as on ode to his nickname “The Eagle”.

Nurmagomedov took to Instagram to share his excitement for the future of the promotion:

Calvin Kattar Releases Statement Following UFC Fight Island 7 Defeat

Sixth-ranked UFC featherweight contender Calvin Kattar got outclassed during the main event of UFC Fight Island 7 by former champion Max Holloway.

However, Kattar rightfully garnered a ton of respect and admiration from fans and fighters alike due to his display of heart and toughness by somehow pushing the fight to the distance while getting battered by the former featherweight champ for all five rounds.

The Boston-native Kattar took to Instagram to make his first statement since the loss:

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is attempting to become just the eighth double champion in UFC history when he moves up to 205-pounds to challenge UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259.

Michael Chiesa Donates To Dustin Poirier’s Charity

Dustin Poirier is set for the biggest fight of his life at UFC 257 on Jan. 23 and just days before his clash against Conor McGregor, Michael Chiesa is sending him some good vibes in the form of a donation to Poirier’s “The Good Fight” foundation.

Chiesa is also main eventing a UFC event this week when he goes head-to-head against Neil Magny at UFC Fight Island 8 on Jan. 19.

Matt Brown Admits Defeat Against Carlos Condit At UFC Fight Island 7

The co-main event of UFC Fight Island 7 was for the hardcore MMA fans who long wanted to see Carlos Condit battle Matt Brown.

While it may have been a few years after fans had wished to see the two legends square-off, the fight was still a fun one.

However it wasn’t all smiles for both competitors after Condit won a unanimous (30-27 x3) decision victory over Brown. Brown called the 30-27 decision on all three judge’s scorecards ‘ridiculous’ and thought he won the first-round.

Brown took to Twitter to cloear up his comments on the fight, admitting he thought he had lost the bout, while still thinking he won the first-round:
