Conor McGregor Says He Wants To Fight Aldo, Gaethje, Ferguson, Masvidal, More
It is unknown at this time as to when McGregor will return to action, but the fighter lists plenty of opponents he’d like to fight when stepping back into the Octagon.
“I’m not going to wait around,” McGregor said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Nolan King of MMA Junkie). “Whoever. If you’re asking me who, whoever. If Dustin (Poirier) goes and it does it – Dustin. If Nate – Nate. If Jorge (Masvidal) – I don’t know what size Dana’s talking about and all that. I don’t even know Jorge that well, because I’ve just seen the last two and the (Al) Iaquinta bout. But anyone. Tony Ferguson. Justin Gaethje. (Max) Holloway rematch. (Jose) Aldo rematch.”
Of the fighters mentioned by McGregor, only Masvidal, Ferguson and Gaethje have not clashed with him before.
In the end, it may not matter to McGregor as to whom he faces when the return to action takes place.
“There are so many bouts for me. And in reality, it doesn’t matter who. It’s just about getting back in and being who I am – not a shell of myself. Not half-committed,” says McGregor.
McGregor said in the same interview that he would return by the end of the year, but a specific date wasn’t mentioned.
