Conor McGregor Says It Is Time Bellator Starts Drug Testing Their Fighters
Conor McGregor and Bellator have had an awkward history, as the fighter once hopped the cage during Bellator 187 and also shoved a referee.
The former two division UFC champion has now taken to Twitter to tell Bellator it is time for them to start drug testing their fighters:
It is crazy to think @BellatorMMA still do not have a performance enhancing drug testing system in place. It is long overdue time the promotion adopts a reputable testing body in order to keep it’s clean athletes safe! https://t.co/G4w3vzv7mE

Bellator currently has the various athletic commissions they work with handle the drug testing, but they have no in house program like the UFC does with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). McGregor hasn’t been the only fighter to call out Bellator for their lack of drug testing, as both Sinead Kavanagh and Gegard Mousasi has also called out the promotion for the same reason.
