Conor McGregor Opens As Favorite vs. Dustin Poirier In Potential Trilogy Fight

A mere 24-hours after Dustin Poirier knocked out Conor McGregor at UFC 257, the brash-Irishman has opened as slight betting favorite if the rivalry were to go to a third bout.

According to BetOnline.ag, the “Notorious” one opened as a -140 favorite to return the favor on Poirier if there were to be a third bout between the pair and the Lousiana-native came back as a +120 underdog for the potential trilogy bout.

It’s worth noting that both McGregor and Poirier expressed interest in a trilogy bout at the post-fight press conference following their UFC 257 main event.

Before the UFC 257 main event commenced, McGregor closed as a -280 betting favorite, while Poirier closed as a +275 underdog before cashing out big-time for his backers after finishing the Irishman in the second-round after a bevy of calf kicks slowed down his opposition and rendered him motionless as Poirier teed off before referee Herb Dean would have no choice but to wave off the bout.
